On 21 June we joined with many other organisations and advocates to help raise awareness of migraine disease. We encouraged people in New Zealand to post photos of themselves, their family, their pets, their colleagues, wearing a pair of sunglasses for the global social media campaign Shades for Migraine, run by the Association of Migraine Disorders.
Three prizes for people in New Zealand were up for grabs: one pair of Avulux Migraine Glasses, thanks to Avulux and CR Surfacing, valued at $900; a book bundle from The Women’s Bookshop, valued at $90; and a migraine care pack, valued at $40, from our team.
Congratulations to our winners: Anna Harding-Schofield, Maungaturoto Public Library and Rebecca Le Harle.
Thank you to everyone who took part, sharing our hashtag, tagging us in photos, and helping to support the 1 billion people worldwide, and 642,000 New Zealanders who live with migraine.
And thanks to Avulux, CR Surfacing and The Women’s Bookshop for donating prizes.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s Shades for Migraine.
