On 27 March 2025 the Neurological Foundation of New Zealand hosted a migraine event as part of its 2025 Brain Awareness Month.
Breaking the grip of pain: Managing migraine in Aotearoa New Zealand was a free, in-person event hosted at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Auckland.
MC’ed by former TVNZ presenter Nicole Bremner, this panel discussion featured guest speakers Dr Rosamund Hill and Dr Ray Bose, both Auckland neurologist and headache and migraine specialists, Dr Michael Garejla, University of Otago Research Fellow and Sarah Cahill, Migraine Foundation Aotearoa New Zealand co-founder.
For over 90 minutes, the guest speakers answered questions about a wide range of migraine topics, including migraine medication treatment options, non-medication treatments, current migraine research and so much more.
This was an incredibly informative event and huge thanks to the Neurological Foundation for helping to raise awareness of migraine disease.
